5 Ways Not to Waste Your Money on Your Landscape 1. Many people find that when they purchase mulch they look at the price. Many of our retail customers and high end landscapers choose to purchase a color enriched mulch simply because it is designed to last the entire season, typically from spring through fall. There are several varieties of coarseness and different materials this mulch is made from. Color enriched products do cost more but their color tends to last about 10 times longer than the traditional mulch for just a few dollars more per yard. 2. Soils are very complicated and will be the key to the success of your gardens, grasses, how big your plants will grow or how the roots will expand and grow. It is vital that you have the right soil. If you plant perennials you need a soil that is good for perennials. If you’re putting in a lawn and you have a very wet area or poor drainage, you need a very well drained soil. In the long run it’s much less expensive by putting the right product in the right place the first time. 3. Your curb appeal, your lawn, usually the largest part of your landscape. Hiring a landscaper- we’ve been in the landscape supply business for a long time. We know who the good landscapers are and we know some of the bad ones.
